Check-In / Check-Out

  • Check-in: From 14:00 

  • Check-out: By 11:00 

  • Early check-in and late check-out requests are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

  • ​A refundable deposit of  50,000 Ariary will be taken from guest up on check-in and returned on check-out in case of no property damage or mini-bar consumption.

Visitors Registration

  • All visitors must be registered at the front desk with valid ID.

  • Visitors are only allowed during designated hours of 8:00 AM to 08:00 PM).

  • Overnight stays require official registration and it will incur an extra charge of 50,000

  • Visitors are not allowed to use hotel facilities (pool, gym, kids' area, etc.) unless authorized or accompanied by a registered guest.

  • Day passes may be required for external guests to access amenities

 

Reservation & Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation: Free cancellation up to 48 hours before arrival. Cancellations made within 48 hours or no-shows will incur a fee equal to one night's stay.

  • Guests are required to pay their booking in full either before arrival or during check-in.

  • No refunds will be issued for early departures once a guest has checked in, unless in exceptional circumstances, such as:  Significant and verifiable damage or malfunction in the room (e.g., major plumbing issues, power failure, or other conditions that make the room uninhabitable), 0r unforeseen emergencies that directly impact the safety or comfort of the guest, as determined by hotel management.

  • Group bookings or special offers may have different cancellation terms.

  • Keys are issued on check-in and must be returned to reception on check-out. A fee of 30,000 Ariary will be charged if keys are lost or not returned. Only registered guests with valid identification may access rooms.

 

Payment Policy

  • We accept cash, major credit cards, and mobile money.

  • All charges must be settled upon check-out including consumption from mini-bar

Children & Extra Beds

  • Children under 6 stay free when using existing beds.

  • Extra beds or baby cots are available upon request and subject to availability.

  • Additional charges may apply for extra guests.

Smoking Policy

  • All rooms are non-smoking. Designated smoking areas are available on the property.

  • A deep cleaning fee of  25,000 Ariary be charged for smoking in rooms.

 

Pet Policy

  • Pets are not allowed in rooms, with the exception of registered service animals.

  • We do have friendly free-range animals on-site (rabbits, chickens, goats) for guest enjoyment.

 

Noise & Conduct

  • Quiet hours are from 22:00 to 07:00.

  • We ask all guests to respect fellow guests and staff. Any disruptive behavior may result in removal from the premises.

 

Damage & Liability

  • Guests are liable for any damage caused to hotel property during their stay.

  • Mahafaly Hotel & Resort is not responsible for any loss, theft, or injury incurred on the premises. Use of facilities, such as the pool or bikes, is at the guest's own risk.

  • It is forbidden to take any property belongings such as: towels, pillows, bed-linen.  

Use of Facilities

  • Pool, playground, bike rental, horse rides, and all shared amenities are for registered guests or day-pass holders only.

  • Children must be supervised at all times while using hotel facilities.

 

Lost & Found

  • Lost items will be held for 30 days. Shipping of lost items is available upon request and at the guest’s expense.
